Yes. Changing the voice service on your numbers will also affect SMS. If you are changing the voice provider on any of the numbers on your TextUs accounts, please let our Support team know so that we can take the necessary steps to minimize SMS downtime.

Send an email to your POC at the new phone provider and copy support@textus.com requesting the date and port time of the numbers that will be affected. We can then coordinate with your new provider to ensure that SMS on your numbers can be enabled again through TextUs after the numbers have been ported.

Please note that there are a few voice providers that we cannot SMS enable numbers on through our provider so reach out to the Support team to determine if we can work with your prospective new provider.
